Emalfarb, Swan & Bain as a firm reaches throughout the nation both with its national client base and by working with independent local counsel throughout the country.  Our model falls somewhere between the much discussed virtual office and the traditional "practice area" focused law firm.  Because we concentrate in commercial law and specifically in the construction area we look very closely for independent counsel who share our views.  Client's benefit because the hourly rates are reasonable and we carefully review the fee statements as they come in on a monthly basis.   Our clients work with a case load manager through whom all of the construction law needs are reviewed and assessed by the general counsel’s office with its independent counterpart in all fifty states and in Canada.

The earmark of our industry focus is that we have become well known and respected throughout the nation for our ability to resolve not only complex construction matters, but the management of large "compliance case load requirements" by those needing notices such as preliminary notices, notices of furnishing, notices to owner and lien and bond claims.  The firm acts a “one stop shop” everything from the initial notices through litigation and appeals should it be necessary through independent local counsel around the nation.
